In a significant move to support the visually impaired, NNPC Upstream Investment Management Services (NUIMS) has partnered Seplat Energy to launch the “Eye Can See” programme in Owerri, Imo State.
This initiative is aimed at providing crucial eye care services to underprivileged communities in the region, offering free eye surgeries, medication, and recommended glasses to individuals struggling with vision impairments.
The “Eye Can See” program is part of a broader corporate social responsibility (CSR) effort by both NUIMS and Seplat Energy, highlighting their commitment to improving healthcare access for vulnerable populations.
Recognizing the life-changing impact of proper vision care, the program focuses on addressing preventable causes of blindness and other visual impairments that can be corrected through timely medical intervention.
