The National University Commission (NUC), has given universities in the country the go-ahead to reopen for academic activities on the 18th day of January 2021.
This comes a few weeks after the commission ordered all tertiary institutions to remain closed indefinitely, in response to the second wave of the COVID-19 virus.
The recent development was communicated through a statement signed by Deputy Executive Secretary Administration, Chris J. Maiyaki.
He reminded the Universities to safeguard lives by strictly adhering to the extant safety Protocols and Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) guidelines.
