“No justice, no burial.”

That’s the vow from the family of nursing student Andrew Amehson, 28, as Police and DSS operatives move into Okpo to probe his death at Nana College of Nursing Sciences.

Andrew, a student of Grimad Nursing School, Anyigba, was allegedly beaten to death by security guards at Nana College on Monday, April 28.

His elder brother Solomon Aziko rejected any payoff after a candlelight procession Friday.

“We are not hungry, we are not begging anyone. Nobody will come and intimidate us with money,” Solomon said. “All we want is for those who murdered my brother to be arrested and made to face the law. No justice, no burial.”

He said no school official has visited. “If they can’t arrest those who killed my brother, they should return the body to the school.”

Andrew’s mother backed him through tears: “Let them fish out those who murdered my son. If they do not do that, no burial at all.” His sister Wisdom echoed: no arrests, no burial.

Olamaboro LGA Chairman confirmed Friday that homicide detectives are now in Okpo. He said he’s spoken with the DPO, Governor’s Security Adviser Commander Duro Jerry Omodara (rtd), and that Kogi CP Naziru Bello is aware.

“The homicide department is already in Okpo,” he said, calling for calm and promising justice.

The chairman added that Nana College’s proprietor is hospitalized but “has agreed to present himself for questioning as soon as he is discharged.” He pledged to meet the family again on “neutral ground” and commended their peaceful conduct.

The National Association of Olamaboro Students has given authorities until 11:59 PM May 3 to show “visible and concrete action,” warning of lawful protests if ignored.

Sources confirmed SCID detectives and DSS operatives are on ground in Okpo. The Kogi Police Command had not issued an official statement at press time.

Barrister Dickson Itodoh visited the family, but Solomon said he came as a family friend — not for the school.
