▪︎Announces 58 new infections as NPHCDA reports inoculation of 964,387 persons
There is a decrease in both COVID-19 infection and death rates in Nigeria as it recorded only 58 new cases on Tuesday.
This represented a significant decline compared to the previous day’s figure.
Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), in its daily update on the outbreak, said no death was recorded for the fifth consecutive days.
NCDC also disclosed that 1,585 patients were discharged from various isolation centres in the country.
A State-by-State breakdown of the fresh cases revealed the following; Lagos-32, Kaduna-5, Enugu-4, Kano-4, Edo-3, FCT-3, Osun-3, Abia-1, Bauchi-1, Gombe-1 and Rivers-1.
In a similar development, Nigeria has vaccinated a total of 964,387 persons across 35 States in the country, according to a report released by the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA).
Meanwhile, Kogi State has received 16,900 doses of vaccine and has commenced vaccination on Tuesday.
