As Muslims celebrate Eid-el-Fitr, Professor Ayo Omotayo, Director-General of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), has called on Nigerians to prioritise unity, peaceful coexistence, and collective responsibility for national progress.

In a statement, Omotayo emphasised that Eid-el-Fitr is a moment for reflection on values that sustain a stable and harmonious society.

He urged citizens to extend the virtues of Ramadan – sacrifice, discipline, and compassion – into everyday life, promoting peace and collective development.

“Eid is not only a time of celebration but also a moment for deep reflection on the values that sustain a stable and harmonious society,” Omotayo said.
