Nigeria’s inflation reaches 31.79 per cent, highest in 28 years

Comparing February 2024 to January 2024, the headline inflation rate surged to 31.70%, marking a notable increase from the previous month’s rate of 29.90%.

This indicates a faster rate of increase in the average price level during February compared to January.

The February 2024 inflation rate witnessed a significant uptick of 1.80 percentage points compared to January 2024.

Year-on-year, the headline rate soared by 9.79 percentage points, compared to February 2023, when it stood at 21.91%.
