A Nigerian man who failed JAMB 4 times bagged a first-class in Mathematics, and als won the overall best student prize.
Ayodeji graduated from the University of Ilorin, Southwest Nigeria, with an outstanding cumulative grade point average of 4.97/5.00.
In a celebratory LinkedIn post, Ayodeji reflected on his academic journey, acknowledging the numerous setbacks he encountered along the way.
He said that after graduating from high school, he wrote the JAMB exam four times before finally securing admission to study Mathematics, his dream course.
Despite these initial challenges, his university years were marked by remarkable achievements.
Ayodeji expressed his gratitude to God for the unwavering support he received from family, friends, lecturers, and mentors, whose guidance and encouragement helped him achieve this milestone.
He highlighted the privilege of meeting many supportive individuals along the journey.
During his time as a student, Ayodeji maintained a perfect GPA of 5.00/5.00 for six consecutive semesters and was recognized as the Best Graduating Student in the Department of Mathematics, the Best Graduating Student in the Faculty of Physical Sciences, and the Overall Best Graduating Student of his class.
In addition to his academic success, Ayodeji co-authored three academic papers that have been accepted for publication and received prestigious scholarships from the MTN Foundation and FSB.
