The deadly COVID-19 virus has claimed the life of another wealthy businessman in Nigeria.
This time round, it is billionaire industrialist, Alhaji Umar Saro.
The Ilorin-born, Lagos-based business mogul passed on this evening after battling the virus at a private hospital in Victoria Island, Lagos, reports THE WILL, quoting reliable sources.
Very quiet and unassuming, Alhaji Saro had friends in very high places some of who were his fellow billionaires like Aliko Dangote, Femi Otedola, Alhaji Rasak Okoya, Chief Alex Duduyemi and Hajia Bola Shagaya, among others.
Alhaji Saro was also an in-law to celebrity fashion designer, Lisa Folawiyo.
Her younger sister, Sike who was recently attacked while jogging on the Lekki/Ikoyi link bridge, is married to the late billionaire’s son, Yusuf.
Alhaij Saro left behind, a wife, Alhaja Atinuke Saro, who unlike her husband is a popular socialite and several children. (THE WILL)
