Nigerian Army Armour School organises free medical outreach, targets host communities

As part of efforts to promote good civil-military relations between the Nigerian Army Armour Corps and host communities, the school has organised a free medical outreach at Angwan Ardo village in Bauchi State.

The event is part of the schedule to round up Second Quarter Courses for 2022 as part of non-kinetic approach in discharging constitutional roles.

Speaking briefly at the event, the Commandant of the school, Maj Gen J.O. Ochai, represented by the deputy, Brig Gen T. Isa noted that the gesture was aimed at supporting the host communities with free medical services in order to improve their health conditions.

Meanwhile, the Special Guest of Honour at the event, the Permanent secretary, Bauchi State Ministry of Health, Ali Babayo, thanked the Nigerian Army for its numerous roles in promoting the welfare of the people of Bauchi state.

He added that the good gesture of the Nigerian Army towards the people of the state is immeasurable. He pledged the government’s readiness to support the Army in its efforts to get rid of insecurity in the state.

Dignitaries at the event include the commander Armoured Corps, rep by the Director Recce warfare, Headquarters Nigerian Army Armoured corps, Commander 33 Brigade, Managing Director Nigerian Army Special Vehicle Plant, Directors from Nigerian Army Armour School, the Mai Gunduma of Kumdum and Mai laitifa of Yelwa Kumdum.
