The Nigerian Air Force conducted air strikes as part of Operation Hadarin Daji, resulting in the elimination of numerous terrorists and the destruction of their infrastructure in Zurmi, Gusau, and Maradun Local Government Areas (LGAs) of Zamfara State.

Confirming the operation’s success, Air Vice Marshal Edward Gabkwet, Director of Public Relations and Information for the Nigerian Air Force, stated that careful observation missions were conducted on terrorist kingpins, Abdullahi Nasanda’s camp in Zurmi LGA and Mallam Tukur’s camp in Gusau LGA. Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) missions provided critical insights into the terrorists’ activities, disclosing their presence around makeshift huts, thatched roof structures, and concealed motorcycles in trees.

Gabkwet emphasized that these observations indicated activities consistent with known terrorist operations.

Subsequently, multiple aircraft passes were utilized to strike Abdullahi Nasanda’s camp, effectively neutralizing several terrorists. Similar ISR missions conducted at Mallam Tukur’s camp revealed terrorist activities, leading to air strikes that destroyed numerous structures and eliminated additional terrorists.
