Nigeria records 684 New COVID-19 cases, total now 23298, 554 deaths

Nigeria has recorded 684 new cases of COVID-19, the Centre for Disease Control announced Friday night.
The new reported cases have increased the total incidence figure to 23298, with Lagos recording the highest number of cases so far.
At least one case was recorded in 19 states of the Federation, with 259 reported in Lagos alone.
Nigeria’s total active cases now stand at 14,491 cases after 8,253 withdrawals.

The death rate currently stands at 2.37%, a significant improvement from the previous figures that have hovered around 3.0%.
The rate of recovery is currently at 34.4% also.
Over 120,000 tests have been conducted so far across Nigeria.
