A former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, has said the rising insecurity plaguing the Nigeria is indicative of the fact that the country is under invasion.

Oyegun, who spoke on ARISE TV News, said there were plans by non-state actors to undermine the nation and the government of the Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari.

According to him: “I think this nation is virtually under invasion. I think somebody somewhere has a plan to undermine this nation, to undermine our government, to make it seem they are not in control, that they are not in charge.

“And this to me is more worrisome because a lot of those involved are non-Nigerians.

“Secondly, and more worrisome, is that we have this spread nationwide of those we call herdsmen who carry rifles in virtually every community in this country today.

“They have set up their own villages, and the question I ask every day is that if each of this agglomeration all over the country, rise up with their rifles, can we cope?”
