The nomination of Barrister Neya Uzor Kalu as a non-career ambassador by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has drawn significant commendations from prominent voices across Nigeria.

The daughter of former Abia State Governor and current Senator Orji Uzor Kalu is being praised for her competence, character, and philanthropic work, which have made her a suitable candidate for the role.

Professor Adamu Usman from Kano State hailed the appointment as a bold endorsement of youthful leadership, citing Neya Kalu’s vibrant personality, intelligence, and preparedness to serve on the global stage.

Similarly, Professor Eni Kalu described the appointment as “well deserved,” highlighting Neya Kalu’s refined professionalism and suitability for the role.

Barrister Peter Ndukwe, a legal practitioner and public affairs analyst, congratulated Neya Kalu, saying she is a “round peg in a round hole” for the ambassadorial appointment.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bende Local Government Area of Abia State celebrated Neya Kalu’s nomination, describing it as “well deserved and long anticipated.”

The party highlighted her contributions to human capital development, philanthropic work, and leadership role as Chairman of The Sun Publishing Company.

The Abia North Peace Foundation (ANPF) also praised President Tinubu for identifying a competent professional who can give Nigeria strong diplomatic representation.
