The Federal Government has approved the appointment of Executive Directors for the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA).
The approval which was granted by former President Muhammadu Buhari on May 26, 2023 was based on nominations submitted to him.
This followed the departure of the holders of the positions, whose tenure ended on March 31, 2023.
The appointed Executive Directors are: Mr. Ayo Adewuyi (Osun State), as Executive Director News, Ije Osagie (Edo State) as Executive Director Engineering, Betsy Iheabunike (Anambra State) as Executive Director Marketing, Lawal Umar Lalu (Katsina State) as Executive Director Programmes, Adamu Sambo (Adamawa State) as Executive Director Special Duties, Nansel Nimyel (Plateau State) as Executive Director Administration and Training and Abdullahi Ismail Ahmed (Kaduna State) as Executive Director Finance.

A statement on Sunday, May 28, 2023 by the former Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to former President Buhari, Malam Garba Shehu said that the appointees were to serve for an initial three years, renewable for another three years.
