The Lagos State Police Command has denied allegations that Commissioner of Police, CP Olohundare Moshood, defied a court order regarding a dispute at Nestoil PLC premises.
According to the Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Abimbola Adebesi, the reports were “untrue, unfounded, and mischievous”.
The police received a court order on November 20, 2025, at 5:50 p.m., which was immediately forwarded to the Command’s Legal Department for verification.
The verification was confirmed on November 21, 2025, and all police personnel were withdrawn from the premises without delay, complying with the court order.
The Command clarified that their role was limited to providing protection to the Court Sheriff during enforcement of court orders and maintaining peace, law, and order.
CP Moshood did not visit the Nestoil premises on November 20 or 21, and did not interfere with the enforcement of the order.
The Command urged the public to disregard the reports, describing them as “complete falsehood, misleading, unguided, and a misrepresentation of facts”.
They reaffirmed their commitment to upholding the rule of law and following due process.
