Beneficiaries of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund in Anambra State have endorsed President Bola Tinubu for a second term in office and donated ₦10.7 million towards the purchase of his 2027 expression of interest form.
The endorsement and donation were presented on Friday at the Igbariam campus of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University.
Speaking during the event, the Chairman of the National Association of Nigerian Students Joint Campus Council in Anambra State, Ifeanyichukwu Chukwuemeka, said the gesture was aimed at appreciating Tinubu’s educational reforms and youth-focused policies.
According to him, the students decided to support the President in recognition of the impact of the NELFUND scheme in easing financial pressure on students and improving access to tertiary education.
“We, the beneficiaries of the NELFUND scheme, are collectively endorsing President Bola Tinubu for a second term in office,” he said.
“We are also donating the sum of ₦10,735,500 to support the purchase of the expression of interest form for him. This gesture is a symbolic expression of gratitude for the President’s bold educational reforms and commitment to expanding access to tertiary education.”
The students also commended Anambra State Governor, Chukwuma Soludo, for supporting education and improving learning standards in the state.
They further praised businessman Obinna Iyiegbu, who serves as South-East Coordinator of the City Boys Movement, for his support toward youth empowerment initiatives.
Other individuals recognised during the event included the State Women Leader of the group, Adaora Soludo, and the State Coordinator, Nonso Ozoemena, for their contributions to youth mobilisation and leadership development.
The event was attended by former Special Assistant to Governor Soludo on Student Matters, Okoye Mathew, alongside several Student Union Government presidents.
