Idumuje-Ugboko in Aniocha North LGA, Delta State is now emphatically in the news for a good reason: the Federal government has approved and issued licence to Prince Ned Nwoko’s STARS University to be sited on the town.
A report by NATIONAL WAVES said that the Chancellor of STAR University, Prince Ned Nwoko, had finalized plans to ensure that “the university takes off in September 2022.”

Prince Nwoko had also, according to the report, released the aeriel pictures of the proposed Stars University, thus clearing doubts in some quarters about the existence of the ambitious project.
The pictures comprise administrative blocks, lecture hall, canteen and junior staff members’ quarters all nearing completion.
It would be recalled that delegates of National University Commission, NUC, visited the site in March 2020 to assess the level of work done to facilitate the approval of Stars University which acronym STARS stands for SPORTS, TECHNOLOGY, ART, RESEARCH AND SCIENCE.
