NDLEA operatives intercept drugs hidden in teddy bear, arrest couple with live ammunition

The operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have recovered 100 grammes of Loud concealed in teddy bear imported from Thailand at a courier company in Lagos State.

The illicit drugs were intercepted on Thursday, November 27, 2025.

The NDLEA Director of Media and Advocacy, Femi Babafemi, in a statement issued on Sunday, November 30, said that a consignment of 548 capsules of tramadol hidden in bottles of Vitamin C and Magnesium going to the United Kingdom were recovered at another logistics firm on Friday, November 28.

He disclosed that a 51-year-old suspect, John Ekojo, was arrested with 210.15kgs of skunk on the Abuja-Jos highway on Saturday, while a couple, Abdullahi Abubakar and Jamila Abdullahi, were nabbed on the Abuja-Kaduna highway with 725 rounds of 7.62mm live ammunition concealed in a sack of maize on Friday.
