Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), under the leadership of Managing Director, Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, has constituted a Project Verification and Payment Committee to fast-track the digitisation of project records and facilitate electronic payments.

The decision followed one of the key resolutions adopted at the 9th meeting of the 7th Governing Board held on December 8, 2025.

The Board approved the formation of the committee by NDDC Management to verify all completed infrastructure, electrification, desilting, environmental, and water supply projects, with the aim of capturing their details on the Commission’s Directorate of Finance and Accounts digitised platform for seamless E-payments.

The initiative aligns with the Federal Government’s directive mandating all Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) to fully digitalise operations and become paperless by December 31, 2025.

The Project Verification and Payment Committee has been tasked with verifying projects across the following categories: infrastructure, electrification, environmental remediation, desilting, and water supply.
