The National Commission for Refugees, Migrants and Internally Displaced Person’s, NCFRMI, has organised a five-day training for selected farmers in Omala local government area of Kogi state.
The training which began on Tuesday in Government Secondary School, Ogodu, November 29, 2022 was meant for 75 selected farmers across the local government area, and it was expected to run for 5 days, beginning from Tuesday 29th- Saturday 3rd, December, 2022.
The training is part of the commission’s support to key into operation go-back-to-farm, so as to boost food production in the agricultural sector in Nigeria.
At the end of the training participants will be entitled to starter packs, insecticides, cash donations, food items to encourage them to go into various types of farming techniques and improve on their previous experiences.
Already, the facilitators and professionals as well as staff members of the commission are already on ground to monitor the training, distribution of starter packs and other items billed for Saturday during the closing ceremony of the programme.
