The Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC, has pledged stronger collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force to protect telecom infrastructure nationwide and curb rising cases of vandalism.

NCC Board Chairman Chief Idris Olorunnimbe and Executive Vice Chairman/CEO Dr. Aminu Maida gave the assurance during a working visit to the Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Olatunji Disu, at Force Headquarters, Louis Edet House, Abuja.

The talks focused on deepening inter-agency cooperation to safeguard critical telecom infrastructure and drive full implementation of the Presidential Order on Critical National Information Infrastructure, CNII.

Both parties reviewed operational coordination and response mechanisms to address growing threats to national telecommunications assets, including vandalism, theft, and sabotage.
