Nasarawa appoint IGP’s younger brother as SSG

Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule has appointed Mohammed Aliyu as the new secretary to the state government (SSG).

Aliyu is the younger brother of Mohammed Adamu, the inspector general of police (IGP).

Yakubu Lamai, the governor’s spokesman, announced the appointment in a statement on Wednesday. He said the appointment takes effect immediately

According to the statement, Aliyu served as a former executive chairman of Lafia local government council from 1999 to 2002, and has also worked as partner at various law firms.

His most recent position before his appointment as SSG was as a partner at Atafi Chambers, a position he held since 2005.
