The Headquarters, Nigerian Army Ordnance Corps (NAOC) has declared one of its personnel wanted for allegedly selling and supplying military uniforms to terrorists and other criminal elements.
The soldier, Private Mohammed Yusuf Amutu, was serving at the Nigerian Army Ordnance Kits Factory before he absconded from his unit on 3 June 2026.
In a statement signed Thursday by Major Oluwatope Dorcas Aluko, Assistant Director, Army Public Relations, NAOC said intensive efforts are underway to locate and apprehend Amutu for full investigation and disciplinary action in line with military laws.

The Corps stated it has zero tolerance for acts that compromise the operational effectiveness, integrity and reputation of the Nigerian Army or threaten national security.
“Any personnel found to have aided terrorists, criminals or other non-state actors through the unauthorized sale, diversion or distribution of military uniforms, accoutrements or other controlled items will be subjected to the full weight of military and civil laws,” the statement read.

NAOC is urging members of the public to provide credible information that could lead to Amutu’s arrest.
Such information should be reported immediately to the nearest military formation or any security agency.
The Corps reassured Nigerians of its commitment to accountability and professionalism, adding that it will continue to strengthen internal control measures and ensure all allegations of misconduct are thoroughly investigated.
