There is more trouble for former Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, as the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has placed him on a watch list.

This followed allegations of economic and financial crimes totaling a staggering N80.2 billion levelled against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission [EFCC].

Following his resistance to arrest on April 17th and subsequent failure to appear for arraignment on April 18th, the EFCC officially declared Bello wanted.

Subsequently, the NIS has bolstered interagency collaboration by formally placing him on its watch list.

An official communication, endorsed by Assistant Comptroller of Immigration (Suspect Index) ACI DS Umar, outlined “the charges Bello faces, including Conspiracy, Breach of Trust, and Money Laundering before the Federal High Court Abuja.”

Dated April 30, 3024, the notice mandated immediate apprehension and referral to the Director of Investigation should Bello be detected at any entry or exit point.

“Citizens are encouraged to reach out to authorities at 08036226329 or 07039617304 for further guidance or assistance pertaining to this matter,” the notice said.
