Veteran Nigerian TV host Morayo Afolabi-Brown has opened up on her personal battle with depression, admitting that she once had suicidal thoughts.
In a candid interview with Chude, Brown, who recently stepped down as host of TVC’s “Your View” after 12 years, said that feeling trapped in her career played a major role in her mental health struggles.
“I was depressed. At a point, I was suicidal. I walked on the express, hoping a car would hit me. It was that bad,” she confessed.
Brown explained that she had long considered leaving the show to move into a new phase of her career but struggled with how to make that transition.
