Father of the late Nigerian artiste, Mohbad, whose real name is Ilerioluwa Oladimeji, has shared his perspective on the ongoing controversy surrounding a DNA test for his grandson, Liam Aloba.
The issue has caught the attention of Nigerians and has been consistently discussed for weeks by Nigerians.
During an interview, Mohbad’s father acknowledged that the questions surrounding the DNA test had become a matter of public interest, not limited to Nigeria alone.
He stressed the need for the right actions to be taken at the appropriate time to address the situation.
“This thing has become a majority [sic] thing, not only [in] Nigeria. So they should do the proper thing at the proper time,” he said.
Reflecting on his relationship with his late son, Mohbad’s father described their bond as that of friends who related like brothers.
He shared fond memories of Mohbad’s early days, revealing that Mohbad had always admired his musical journey.
The artiste had eagerly followed in his footsteps, often dancing and serving as his backup singer at various events.
Besides the call for a DNA test to determine the paternity of the son, Mohbad’s father also spoke about the complexity of his family.
He disclosed that Mohbad was the reason he had multiple wives, explaining that he remarried after the singer’s mother left him.
Despite the challenges, Mohbad’s talent and passion for music remained a unifying factor within the family.
