The Acting Coordinator of NEMA in Lagos State Ibrahim Farinloye has confirmed massive gas leakage around computer village, Oba Akran area of the State.
In a statement issued by Ibrahim Farinloye, the spokesperson for NEMA (south-west), on Wednesday, the agency asked residents to take safety precautions to prevent any form of disaster as a result of the gas leakage.
He said the agency received distress alerts about the incident some minutes ago.
The Acting Coordinator advised shops and business centers to be under lock and key pending when normalcy would return.
“Residents around Computer Village, Underbridge Awolowo Way, and Oba Akran axis, Anifowose Street, Medical Road must not open shops or use open naked fire for safety reasons,” he said.
