Manchester United came from behind at Old Trafford to knock nine-man Fulham out of the FA Cup on Sunday.

Fulham were the better side for much of the game and took a deserved lead five minutes into the second half when Aleksandar Mitrovic smashed home his first ever FA Cup goal.

But the game swung violently in United’s favor in the 70th minute when Willian blocked a shot from Jadon Sancho using his hand.

Referee Chris Kavanagh did not originally call the handball but a VAR review resulted in a penalty kick and a straight red card for Willian.

Mitrovic was then also sent off after shoving the referee while complaining about the decision.

Fulham manager Marco Silva was given a red card too.

After a delay of almost five minutes, Bruno Fernandes converted the spot-kick to draw United level.

It then took the Red Devils just two more minutes to complete the turnaround when Marcel Sabitzer stylishly backheeled a shot past Bernd Leno following a low cross from Luke Shaw.

Fernandes made certain of United’s victory in added time by scoring his second goal of the game.

United will play Brighton in the semi-finals at Wembley.

The winner of that game will then face either Sheffield United or Manchester City in the final.
