Manchester United’s first-team players are reportedly unimpressed by a certain off-field matter involving Cristiano Ronaldo.
According to reports, some players at the Red Devils are not particularly pleased with Ronaldo’s impact on the kitchen menu at the club’s training ground.
Since the 36-year-old’s sensational return to United, special food has been put on the menu to cater for him, a decision that has reportedly not gone down too well with his colleagues.
The story suggests that Ronaldo has demanded that Octopus is added to the menu as an option, with a club insider reportedly telling The Sun that: “He also loves octopus, but most of the lads won’t go there – even if it clearly works for Ronny!
“Cristiano is very much into his proteins, stuff like slices of ham, eggs and avocados, and the chefs are trying to help him with a little taste of home.”
Ronaldo is said to have followed a strict diet throughout his career, which is thought to have helped him maintain high standards into his late thirties.
On the field, the five-time Ballon d’Or has scored four goals in four appearances since he re-joined the club he spent six years at between 2003 and 2009. (The Sun)
