Angwa Rukuba killings: Prosecution warns Court against releasing suspects from DSS custody

An Area Court in Jos on Monday, sentenced Kuba Nuhu, to 12 months imprisonment, for breaking into his neighbour’s house and stealing his mother’s Itel android phone worth N 80, 000.

The area court judge, Irene Pati, sentenced the convict after he pleaded guilty to breaking and entry and theft.

The judge, however gave the convict an option of N 50, 000 fine.

She also ordered the convict to pay N 15,000 as compensation to his mother.

Earlier, the police prosecutor, Insp Ibrahim Gokwat told the court that the case was reported at the “A” Division police station, on March 4, by Mr Abraham Okwoli.
The prosecutor, further told the court that during police investigation, the accused person confessed to the crime.
The offence, he said, contravened the Plateau Penal Code law of Northern Nigeria of 2017.
