The Ekiti State Police Command has arrested Victor Lorjaal of Aba Ile camp, Itaji-Ekiti, for allegedly hacking his mother, Victoria Lorjaal, and elder sister, Brenda Lorjaal, to death.
According to a statement by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Sunday Abutu, the incident occurred on March 25 while the family was working on their farm.
A witness, one of the deceased’s children, recounted that Victor suddenly left him and approached their mother and sister.
Moments later, he heard their mother’s cries for help.
He said that by the time he arrived, the two women had been killed, and Victor had fled.
Ekiti State Commissioner of Police, Joseph Eribo, has ordered a thorough investigation and expressed condolences to the bereaved family.
The suspect will be charged to court upon the completion of the investigation.
