A Badagry Chief Magistrates’ Court, Lagos, on Tuesday, sentenced a 32-year old man, Mukaila Ajayi, to three years imprisonment for stealing copper wire valued N1.2 million
The Prosecutor, Insp Ayodele Adeosun, told the court that Ajayi committed the offence at about 4.00p.m on May 5, at Jimmy Jacks Ansarudeen Road, Badagry, Lagos
Adeosun said that the convict unlawfully entered the house of the complainant, Tunde Kushikoh and stole copper wire valued N1,200,000.
He said that the offence contravened Section 287 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
The convict, who had no legal representation in court, pleaded guilty to the charge preferred against him.
The Chief Magistrate, Patrick Adekomaiya, after listening to the facts given by the police, sentenced Ajayi to three years imprisonment without an option of fine. (NAN)
