An Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court, Ibadan, on Thursday ordered remand of one Ikechukwu Chukwu, 24, for allegedly stealing two air conditioners worth N500,000.
Chukwu, whose address was not provided, is charged with conspiracy and stealing.
Chukwu pleaded guilty to the charges.
The Magistrate, Mrs Adebola Adeola, consequently adjourned the case until May 3 for review of facts and judgment.
Adeola ordered that Chukwu should be kept at the Agodi custodial centre until then.
The prosecutor, Insp Iyabo Oladoyin, told the court that the defendant committed the offences on April 13, at 2.48 p.m, at Zartech C.I.C.S Estate, Apata, Ibadan.
Oladoyin said that Chukwu and others at large stole two horse power air conditioners belonging to one Mr Abiodun Musa.
She said that the offences contravened Sections 516 and 390(9) of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000. (NAN)
