The Police on Monday dragged a 22-year-old man, John Adekola before a Badagry Chief Magistrates ‘Court in Lagos, over alleged breach of public peace.
The defendant whose address was not stated is charged with breach of public peace and attempt to commit felony.
He however, pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The prosecutor, ASP. Edet Ekpo, told the Court that the defendant committed the offences on Feb. 4, at about 1: 47 a.m. at Idale Housing Estate, in Badagry.
The prosecutor alleged that the defendant attempted to commit felony by jumping through the fence into the Idale Housing Estate belonging to the Lagos State Government.
The defendant was also alleged to have conducted himself in a manner likely to cause a breach of public peace, by jumping into the estate.
He said that the defendant was eventually apprehended and handed over to the police for prosecution.

The offences contravene the provisions of sections 168 and 406 of the Criminal Law of Lagos, 2015.
The Chief Magistrate, Mr A.J Aina, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties in like sum.
The court held that one of the sureties must be a community leader
He adjourned the case until March 30, for mention.
