The convener of the Just George of our Time Initiative, Hon Loverty Makyur has extolled the political leadership and compassionate disposition of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation [SGF], Senator George Akume, describing him as a blessing to his numerous associates and followers in Benue State and beyond.
Makyur spoke when a strong delegation of the North Central Media Forum, led by Mrs. Torkwase Kuraun visited him to sympathise with him on the facture he sustained on his right leg during a training/exercise session.

The delegation had presented to him a passionate message of “quick recovery” from the entire membership of the forum.
While receiving the Forum’s delegation in his Abuja residence, Makyur expressed gratitude to the SGF and leader of North Central Zone in the Tinubu administration, Senator Akume who took shouldered the cost of surgery and other associated medical expenses.
“I pray that the Almighty God will replenish his pocket, keep him in good health, and grant him the grace to continue to provide us with a leadership rallying point,” Makyur said.
He thanked members of the group for their show of love and took the opportunity to appreciate the leadership of North Central Media Forum for their support and encouragement.
He stated that the visit was a clarion call on him to put in more energy in serving Senator Akume, whom he described as a “just man.”
He stated that the visit was quite significant as it highlighted unity within the Akume team.
According to Makyur, “the visit, indeed, showcases the strong bond within the group and the commitment to be our brothers’ keeper, particularly during challenging times.”
Makyur urged the people of North Central to rally behind Senator Akume’s leadership and support President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
He also appreciated the federal government for establishing the North Central Development Commission, which he said would drive development in the region.
