The matriarch of the Mumeh clan, Madam Catherine Iyoho Donatus Mumeh of Igbogili-Abavo in Ika South Local Government area of Delta State, Mrs. Catherine Iyoho Donatus Mumeh, has passed.
The announcement of her passing was contained in press release issued on behalf of the family by one of her children, Mr Paul Mumeh, one-time Chief Press Secretary to a former President of the Senate if the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator David Mark.
According to Paul, “She departed unto glory on Friday at Central Hospital, Asaba after a brief Illness.
“She was aged 90.
“Mama was a renowned community leader and a devoted christian .
“The late Mrs Mumeh is survived by Deaconess Magdalene Igbenigun, Mrs Victoria Nasabata, Mrs Rita Okoro, Mr. Amechi Mumeh, Mrs Patient Kalikuma, Mrs Franca Okoacha and Paul Mumeh, former Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to former President of the Senate Senator David Mark.
“Detailed burial arrangements will be announced by the family.”
