Founder of Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries, Pastor Lazarus Muoka, has lost his wife, Joy, to the cold hands of death
Joy reportedly passed without any report that she was ill.
Though the church has yet to issue an official statement, reports said that Joy died last Saturday.
The leadership of the church has also kept mum about the development.
Reports said that the late Joy was Pastor Lazarus’ second wife. He married her after his first wife died.
Joy died after Muoka‘s evangelistic outreach in Ebonyi State, which was reportedly attended by a large crowd.
She was said to have attended a vigil of the church after the crusade in Ebonyi on returning to Lagos before she died the next day.
The church’s Public Relations Unit has yet to confirm to newsmen if the woman was dead or alive, but the church had not, as of press time, denied the report either.
The entirety of Facebook is awash with the news of the death of Muoka’s wife, with members of the church confirming that Joy had actually died.
The late Joy was, as learnt, flown abroad some years back, where she underwent a fibroid surgery, but that has not been attributed to her dead.
In fact, the cause of her dead is unknown.
Popular, Facebook Page, Church Gist, publishing activities of churches in Nigeria, simply reported it thus: “IT IS WELL IN JESUS NAME!
“Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: John 11:25. We remember Pastor Lazarus Muoka and family at this time. It shall be well with the righteous.”
Lord’s Chosen spokesperson, Louis Chidi, did not pick several calls made to his phone by reporters to get the side of the story.
But Gospelfilmsng.com, a popular Christian site, quoted a spokesperson of the church to have said: “We are devastated by the loss of our beloved Joy. She was an exceptional woman who brought joy and solace to everyone she encountered. We ask for your prayers and support during this challenging time.”
