A London-based Zimbabwean philanthropist and entrepreneur, Mercy Gilbert, has mapped out strategies to empower lives and leave a legacy for future generations.
Addressing a crowd of women and youths over the weekend in London, Mercy Gilbert said that her goal in life was to change and impact lives in Africa through her charity for Women called, Mother maid Club and Alert Africa.
“My belief is that if the world throws lemons at you, make a lemonade out of it,” she stated.
Mercy Gilbert, who is also a prominent politician, explained that she was ready for collaboration globally and “enjoys working with people from all parts of the world, be it young to adult and the less fortunate.”
She stated that most of the countries in the World governed by women were among those that were thriving exceptionally.
“Having worked in parliament under the MP Shadowing scheme, I am one step closer to achieving my dream to become an MP,” Gilbert assured.
Mercy Gilbert was born in Zimbabwe and then moved to the UK at the age of 6, and thereafter was adopted by a Jewish man.
