Liverpool finally got the redemption they needed in the Champions League, putting on a show at Anfield yesterday to beat Galatasaray 4-0 and turn a first-leg loss into a 4-1 aggregate win.
After losing 1- 0 in the first leg, where Victor Osimhen set up the goal for Galatasaray, the Reds came out firing.
From the first whistle, you could see they meant business, moving the ball fast and pressing hard.
The opener came in the 25th minute, with Dominik Szoboszlai slotting home after some sharp build-up play.
It was just the lift Liverpool needed. After that, they never looked back.
The second half was all Liverpool. Hugo Ekitiké made it 2 0 in the 51st, then Ryan Gravenberch added a third just two minutes later.
By this point, the crowd was bouncing off the walls.
The final touch came in the 62nd minute when Mohamed Salah curled in a beautiful long-range shot, marking his 50th Champions League goal.
Liverpool dominated every part of the game, possession, chances, and pace.
They were sharp, ruthless, and showed no mercy, while Galatasaray struggled to keep up.

Yesterday’s win also gave Liverpool the distinction of being the only English Premier League side to claim victory in the tournament, as Tottenham and Newcastle both fell to their Spanish opponents.
This win sets up a mouth-watering quarter-final clash with Paris Saint Germain. If Liverpool play like this again, they will be hard to stop.
