Politicians and prominent Islamic clerics in Nigeria on Sunday assembled in the ancient Gbongan community, Ayedade Local Government Area of Osun State, where they offered prayers for the family of late Justice Bolarinwa Babalakin, who died on Dec. 4, at the age of 95.
The Chief Imam of Osogboland, Sheik Musa Animashaun, Ustaz Sulaiman Asaruji from Morkaz, Agege, Lagos, Prof. Iftau Abdulrahman and the Chief Imam of University of Ibadan, all rendered prayers for the family, friends, Nigeria and well-wishers of the deceased.
Shaykh Abdrahman Olanrewaju who is the National Missioner of the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria, gave the sermon for the Fidau, stressing that the late Babalakin left good children behind, which is more than all the wealth in the world.

Olanrewaju said the late Judge raised his children well, and he was happy with the fact that the children did not delay the burial of their father, in keeping with the doctrine of Islam that says burial of a Muslim should not be delayed.
While giving vote of thanks at the well attended colourful ceremony, Dr Wale Babalakin, the eldest son of the late Justice Babalakin, thanked President Muhammadu Buhari for sending a powerful delegation to condole with the family.
Babalakin said they were most grateful to the President for deeming it fit to remember their father that left service 29 years ago.
He equally thanked former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Gov. Rotimi Akeredolu and Gov. Gboyega Oyetola, who were present to pay their last respect to the family.
He thanked all other governors and prominent Nigerians and clerics that graced the Fidau, praying that Allah lead them back to their various destination safely.
Other dignitaries at the Fidau prayer includes, Gov. Seyi Makinde of Oyo, Gov. Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti, Gov. Dapo Abiodun of Ogun, Gov. Doye Diri of Bayelsa , former Cross Rivers Governor, Donald Duke, Sen. Ibikunle Amosun, lawmakers, judicial officials, Islamic and Christian clerics, as well as royal fathers.
