The Lagos State Government has announced the declaration of Tuesday, 20th August 2024, as a work-free day in commemoration of this year’s Isese Day.
In an official circular released on Monday, 19th August,.2024, the Head of Service, Bode Agoro, said the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, approved the decision as part of efforts to support traditional institutions and promote indigenous cultural heritage.
He said the work-free day applied to all public servants in the state, emphasizing the government’s commitment to lpreserving cultural traditions.
Agoro said work was scheduled to resume on Wednesday, 21st August 2024, at 8:00 am, adding that all accounting officers had been instructed to ensure wide dissemination of this information across all public service departments.
