Lagos State Government said 22 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from Isolation facilities at Yaba, Lagos University teaching Hospital (LUTH) and Lekki to reunite with the society
The State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu disclosed on Saturday during the daily update briefing on the pandemic in the state. “Today, 22 more persons; 8 females and 14 males, all Nigerians were discharged from our Isolation facilities at Yaba, LUTH and Lekki to reunite with the society,” he said.
The Governor added that 19 of the patients from Lagos University teaching Hospital, 2 from the Mainland Infectious Disease Hospital, Yaba and 1 from the isolation facility at Lekki. He said they were discharged having fully recovered and tested negative to COVID-19 in two consecutive readings.
Sanwo-Olu said the 22 patients bring to 247 the number of COVID19 confirmed cases that have been successfully managed and discharged in Lagos.
He implored residents of the state to support the offensive against the disease, the Use of Face mask #MaskUpLagos, Social Distancing and regular Hand Washing. This he said will help break the chain of community transmission.
