A woman identified as Loveth Alo has been arrested by Nigerian police for allegedly giving false testimony at the Zion Prayer Movement Church, led by Prophet Ebuka Obi.
Loveth had claimed in her testimony during a church service that she had purchased a N300 million mansion
Her claim was later debunked by the real estate firm Roboconsult which is building and marketing the estate on which Loveth said the house she bought was located.
During interrogation, Loveth confessed that she neither owned nor paid for the property.
According to Adedokun Olabisi, a staff member at Roboconsult, Loveth had visited the property with her agent in Enugu and a prospective buyer under the guise of inspecting the building.
She later recorded a video falsely claiming ownership, stating she had paid N200 million and would complete the payment in instalments.
The video went viral, prompting Roboconsult to investigate.
The company confirmed that the property, located in Enugu, remained unsold and was still in the market as of the time of this report.
Barrister C.P. Ogdo, legal counsel for Roboconsult, stated that Loveth’s claims were entirely false and that she would face legal consequences for misleading the public.
Roboconsult also released a statement on its Facebook page, clarifying that the mansion was never sold to Loveth and that her testimony was fraudulent.
The company shared footage of the property’s interior to further debunk her claims.
Loveth is iin police custody, and authorities are investigating the matter further.
Roboconsult has vowed to take legal action against all parties involved in spreading false information.
