The Kwara Commissioner for Health, Dr Amina El-Imam, formally handed over the project to the contractor, United integrated Construction Ltd (UICL).

Speaking during the handover ceremony, El-Imam said that this development would strengthen healthcare infrastructure and improve access to quality healthcare in Kwara.

She described the project as a critical intervention aimed at enhancing the State’s capacity for accurate and timely medical diagnosis, which is essential for effective treatment and improved health outcomes.

The commissioner also said that the establishment of the diagnostic centre aligns with the administration’s commitment to advancing healthcare delivery through strategic investments in modern medical infrastructure.

El-Imam further said that the facility, formally known as Civil Service Clinic upon completion, would reduce the need for referrals outside the state for specialised diagnostic services.

“This will save costs and time for residents while boosting confidence in the State’s health system,” she assured.

Also speaking, the Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development, Dr Segun Ogunshola assured that the project would be executed in line with approved standards and specifications.

He stressed the importance of quality, safety, and timely delivery of the project.

Speaking on behalf of the construction company, Mr Ahmed Mohammed expressed appreciation to the Kwara government for the opportunity.

He pledged to deliver the project within the stipulated time frame and adhere strictly to quality standards.
