Fate played a trick on kidnappers of Dr. Abu Babatunde, Edo medical doctor abducted in Auchi, Edo State, and his brother, who was later killed, as they have reportedly been arrested after visiting the hospital.
Reports said that the suspected Kidnappers were reportedly apprehended after bringing their sick baby to the same hospital where Dr. Babatunde is employed for treatment.
Dr. Abu was said to have instantly recognised and raised the alarm and had them arrested.
Recall that Dr Abu was kidnapped alongside his younger brother on City Pride Road in the Igbira Camp area of Auchi on January 1, 2026.
While the kidnappers demanded a N200 million ransom, the younger brother was later killed in captivity.
Dr. Babatunde regained his freedom after spending 13 days with the abductors after hefty ransom was paid.
