A former Deputy State Chairman of the Peoples Demoratic Party in Edo State, Pastor (Engr) Kenneth Asekomhe has announced his resignation from the party with immediate effect.
In a letter addressed to the Ward Chairmen of Ward 12, Etsako West LGA, Asekomhe cited the party’s loss of focus and the undue influence of Governor Godwin Obaseki as primary reasons for his departure.
Asekomhe expressed concerns over the Governor’s manipulation of the party and the House of Assembly, particularly regarding the impeachment of Deputy Governor Rt. Hon. Comrade Philip Shaibu.
He lamented the contrast between the current state of the PDP and the party he supported in 2020 after leaving his position as Deputy State Chairman of the All-Progressives Congress (APC).
This resignation has been copied to the LGA Chairman of Etsako West and the State Chairman of PDP Edo State.
