Hombaze Restaurant in Sandton, South Africa, has made the final list of the 2024 RASA Rosetta award for top restaurants in South Africa.
Founded by a former Bureau Chief of News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, in Southern Africa, Mr Kenn Ayere, this is the second time that Hombaze Restaurant has earned the prestigious recognition.
It Is significant that Hombaze Restaurant has remained consistent at the top echelon among the over 85,000 restaurants in South Africa.
Organisers of the SA TOP RESTAURANT AWARDS 2024 in a letter to Ayere congratulated him and his incredible team members on the nomination of Hombaze Restaurant for the award.
They wrote: “You are among the TOP restaurants selected from across South Africa nominated by the public. We hope that this is phenomenal news for you and your staff members. We have selected you to continue the legacy of the best restaurants that are being showcased in this year’s selection.

In a chat with THE CONCLAVE on Tuesday night, Ayere said: “I’m overwhelmed with joy that 21 years of extreme hard work is paying off and it is being acknowledged by the South African public. Since 2003 when Hombaze was established, it’s been toiling and toiling and striving to build and sustain a brand that will test of time.
“It was not easy to earn the trust and confidence of the South African public. I thank the Almighty for the vision, guidance and provision. I thank my darling wife for toiling extra hard to make sure every meal is of top standard and I appreciate my staff members and clients for standing by us.
