Kemi Olokode-Ayelabola has lent her voice to the avalanche of commendations President Bola Ahmed Tinubu received for his contributions at the 28th Edition of the United Nations Climate Summit, codenamed Conference of Parties, in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Kemi, a Nigerian in the Diaspora, is the brain behind Asiwaju Renewed Hope (ARH’23), one of the support groups during the last February 2023 presidential election.

She noted that the President was still on course with his renewed hope agenda, and he won’t fail Nigerians while also asking the citizens to support him.

In her statement made available to journalists on Saturday Olokode-Ayelabola listed the gains of the COP28 summit to Nigerians which included signing of accelerated energy performance agreement between Nigeria and Germany, unveiling the Nigeria Carbon Market Activation Plan, and the president’s hosting of stakeholders and investors on the Nigeria Carbon Market and Electric Buses Rollout Programme etc.

She stated, “As patriotic Nigerians we must tone down on vituperative criticisms and align ourselves with the gains of COP28 summit which included signing of accelerated energy performance agreement between Nigeria and Germany, unveiling the Nigeria Carbon Market Activation Plan, and the hosting of stakeholders and investors on the Nigeria Carbon Market and Electric Buses Rollout Programme among other benefits.

“We also need to show appreciation to a committed president who has passion to make Nigeria work socio-economically.

His meeting with the president of UAE to concretise engagements between the two countries is timely and worthwhile. This is aside from the bilateral talks held with several countries and multilateral partners.

“President Tinubu’s recent policy overhaul had sparked a deluge of activities, enquiries from blue-chip international investors who are already expressing willingness to invest and partner with Nigeria.”

Kemi also added that the visit also explored both the fledgling and the burgeoning opportunities created by the commitment of the government to offer lower corporation taxes, enhance security measures and foster a more welcoming environment for foreign investments.

“It is a confirmation of the truth we can all attest to, that President Ahmed Bola Tinubu’s avowed promise on his day of inauguration to ‘hit the ground running’ which he has followed through, is already yielding the desired dividends. One thing that always excites me is the fact that Tinubu is still on course with his renewed hope agenda and he won’t fail Nigerians,” Kemi stated.
