The Head of Service (HoS) in Kebbi, Alhaji Safiyanu Garba-Bena, has assured that the state government would continue to give priority to workers welfare, to raise their productivity.
The HoS told newsmen on Friday in Birnin Kebbi that the recent welfare package extended to workers by Gov. Nasir Idris, was part of motivational tools for higher productivity.
He added that the governor was determined to complete work on the new state secretariat complex to provide conducive and adequate office accommodation for civil servants.
Garba-Bena lauded the governor for the gesture, saying that the Sallah largesse had helped the workers to meet the demands of their families during the Eid-el-Kabir festival.
He therefore tasked the civil servants to reciprocate the gesture through hard work, dedication, patriotism and punctuality.
Garba-Bena expressed happiness that most of the workers returned to work on Friday after the public holiday.
He reminded the workers that they have a social contract with the state in which they promised to adhere to rules and regulations of the service.
