The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has inaugurated its 20-member Membership, Revalidation, Mobilisation and Registration (MRMR) Committee.
This is a strategic move aimed at solidifying the party’s foundation in the grassroots for the 2027 general elections.
The committee was inaugurated on Tuesday at the party’s National Headquarters in Abuja by its National Chairman, Senator David Mark.
He emphasised that a verifiable and credible membership register is the “lifeblood” of the party, determining its legitimacy and ultimate electoral success.
The committee features a blend of veteran politicians and prominent activists:
Chairman: Kashim Imam
Deputy Chairman: Aisha Yesufu (the activist recently joined the party)

David Mark tasked the group with harmonizing existing records and eliminating inconsistencies within a strict 30-day window.
He explained: “As we look ahead to future political engagements, it has become imperative to revalidate our existing members, register new ones, strengthen our grassroots presence, and harmonise our membership records nationwide. This committee has therefore been entrusted with a critical national assignment.”

He added that the exercise is not about pushing people out, but bringing them in:“Let me emphasise that this exercise is not about exclusion, but about inclusion, strengthening, organising, and repositioning our party to meet the expectations of Nigerians, who yearn for credible leadership and democratic governance.”
Committee Chairman Kashim Imam promised an aggressive, round-the-clock mobilization effort. He framed the ADC as a “mass movement” for the ordinary Nigerian who has been “taxed excessively.”
“Our party, the ADC, is a grassroots movement. For too long, the average Nigerian has been cheated, marginalised, and taxed excessively. We will endeavour to ensure that the peasants, the ordinary Nigerians, the masses, the poor, and the downtrodden are invited to take charge, assume responsibility, and claim ownership of the ADC.”
Imam concluded with a bold economic promise for the 2027 cycle:“This country is blessed and endowed with human and natural resources. We have no business being poor, and when the ADC comes to power, no Nigerian will be poor. I want to assure you… that we will not sleep, we will not rest, and we will work 24/7. You will see us mobilising and registering members in the creeks, in the deserts, and across the length and breadth of this country. This is a mass movement.”
